Luke Kelly was born in 1940 and was a part of the dubliners for twenty years he sang many different songs like the town i loved so well, Kelly the boy from killane and foggy dew. apparently he liked to always joke around with every one he met. the instrument he played was the seven string banjo. the special thing about when he was singing is he always brought a lot of feeling into the song by either his voice, hand motions or facial expression. the last few years of his life was when he developed a brain tumor. his first surgery was in cork after he collapsed on stage during a performance and the other one in Richmond. his last performance was the night visiting song. he died the night of January 31st 1984 at the age of 44 at the Richmond hospital in dublin.
